The most wonderful middle period Turner watercolour that hasn't been on the market since 1945. Here I am with Mark Griffiths Jones of Sotheby' looking at colour proofs of Turners 'Sun rise whiting fishing at Margate.
This picture is one of the most important middle period Turners ever , It was painted when Turner was lodging with Mrs Booth in Margate in 1822.
